Il 23 luglio 1968, Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention si esibirono al Whisky A Go Go di Los Angeles per un’intera notte. Frank Zappa registrò tutto lo show con l’intento di pubblicare un album dell’intero progetto e, sebbene lo stesso Zappa abbia poi pubblicato alcuni brani nel corso degli anni, un album dal vivo completo non è mai uscito: i nastri delle registrazioni sono rimaste negli archivi per più di 55 anni. Ora il concerto vede per la prima volta la luce con nuovi missaggi e le note bio-discografiche a cura dell’archivista zappiano Joe Travers; due versioni, un box di tre CD con tutti e tre i set del concerto e vinile - 2 LP - con gli highlight
tratti dallo show. Il tutto viene pubblicato con nuovissimi missaggi e un booklet con le note bio-discografiche a cura dell’archivista zappiano Joe Travers e di Pamela Des Barres (The GTO’s), oltre ad un’intervista di Ahmet Zappa con Alice Cooper.
