Nonesuch Records pubblicherà Keep Your Courage di Natalie Merchant, il suo nono album in studio solista e il suo primo con materiale nuovo dal suo omonimo album del 2014. Un album elettrico, prodotto dalla Merchant, contiene due duetti con la cantante Abena Koomson-Davis (Resistance Revival Chorus), contributi dal gruppo celtico folk Lúnasa, il virtuoso del clarinetto siriano Kinan Azmeh e gli arrangiamenti del trombonista Steve Davis. Sono presenti lussuose orchestrazioni di sette compositori inclusi: Gabriel Kahane, Stephen Barber, Colin Jacobson e Megan Gould. Keep Your Courage comprende nove canzoni originali della Merchant come anche un’interpretazione di “Hunting the Wren” di Ian Lynch della band irlandese Lankum. L’edizione LP in vinile di Keep Your Courage include quattro bonus track degli album precedenti, mai pubblicati su vinile.
Per rendere onore a quest’uscita, la cantautrice inizierà un tour quest’estate negli Stati Uniti, continuando poi verso l’autunno. Le date europee saranno annunciate a breve.
